Chelle Somsen graduated from South Dakota State University in 1993 with a BA in history and received a MA in history from Mankato State University in 1998. She has worked for the South Dakota State Archives since 1996. She currently is the State Archivist for South Dakota.  She has taught SDSU History classes for CUC since Spring of 2005.
