Capital University Center offers CLEP Testing. This is a test that allows students to earn credit in a subject area without taking the class. Testers are allowed to 'test out' of College Algebra, Calculus, Chemistry, US History, or American Government. Please note: the same test cannot be attempted again for 6 months.

The CLEP test costs $72 ($77 after July 1, 2010) payable to CLEP by check, money order or credit card, plus a seperate $20 fee payable to SDSU. Visit the website http://www.collegeboard.com/  for more information on preparing for the CLEP test.

If you are interested in taking the CLEP test please make an appointment in advance at CUC between the hours of 8-3 pm M-F. Testing will not be offered during finals week or any other time a high amount of testing is going on at CUC to assure the tester a more quiet and comfortable environment.
