Kristi Vensand-Hall, soprano, was born in Aberdeen, SD, and received her B.S. degree in Composite Music and German Education from Northern State University. She received her Masters of Music Degree from Northwestern University and pursued advanced study in voice and opera performance in the Northwest German Music Academy in Detmold, Germay.
She was a finalist in the National Metropolitan Opera Auditions in
New York, has held contracts with several international symphonies,
opera companies in Germany and the US, and the Canadian and German
TV and radio networks.
Kristi was a touring artist with the South Dakota Arts Council for
20 years and has taught at North Park College in Chicago, and 24
years at South Dakota State University. She now resides in Pierre,
SD.
