Laura Hayden-Moreland received her Master of Arts in English in 1989 and has since added an additional 40 credit hours toward her Ph. D. degree in English.  Before moving to Pierre, Laura lectured at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1989-1999. From 1997-1999, she also lectured at Nebraska Wesleyan University for the Seirei Gakuen Summer ESL Programs.  Laura has worked at Capital University Center since 2000. She has instructed college-credit courses including: Women's Literature, World Literature, Introduction to Literature, American Short Stories, Introduction to Film Studies, English Composition I & II, Basic Writing, and Literature of the American West. She has also instructed a non-credit course: Introduction to the Mountain Dulcimer for CUC.
