Max A. Gors was elected a Sixth Circuit Judge in 1990, reelected in 1998 and has been presiding judge since 2002. He is a member of the Corrections Commission, the Governor’s Adult Sentencing Task Force and the Judicial Qualifications Commission. He served on the parole board three times in the past. Max graduated from Augustana College in 1967 and the Drake University Law School in 1970. He worked for state government from 1970 to 1977 and practiced law in Pierre from 1977 to 1991.
