Offered to students in grades 8-12 and to adults. To receive a certificate of completion, students must complete 30 hours of class room instruction, 6 hours of practice driving time, and 6 hours of observation time. All practice driving will be scheduled with the instructor. Students are required to be 14 years of age before performing the practice driving portion of the class.
Driver’s Education currently costs $250. CUC retains the right to make modifications should program costs increase.
It is CUC’s intent to avoid additional charges unless absolutely necessary. Program costs include: Faculty and driver salaries, car rental and adaptation, insurance, auto repair, teaching supplies, support services, and student certificate processing.
Registration forms can be picked up at the Middle School and High School offices in Pierre and Fort Pierre, and at CUC, 925 East Sioux Avenue, at the second floor administrative offices.
1st session - April 6 – 26 3:15 – 5:15pm at MMS
2nd session – May 3 – 21 3:15-5:15 pm at MMS
